We did it, Moms! We made it through another summer. If you’re anything like us, it was the best of times and the worst of times. 

We’ve loved having no schedule and more time with our families, and also are so looking forward to more structure and less time with our kids smacking each other (boy mom problems). The late summer sunsets have made for some of the longest days of our lives, and yet somehow looking back, it feels like the season flew. Summer is full of ups and downs, but it’s when some of our best family memories are always made.

While we’re sad to see Summer go, we’ve now arrived at the second-most wonderful time of the year: Back to School. 

There is something so magical about the transition from summer to fall. The fresh haircuts and stiff backpacks. The back to school nights and school supply lists. Sure, figuring out carpools and soccer schedules can get stressful, but at this point we’ll take it over hearing “Mom, I’m bored!” for the tenth time in a day.

At BinkyBro, everything we make stems from who we are. And our latest collab with the San Diego Padres might be our favorite part of the BinkyBro story yet. 

San Diego is where it all started for us. Picture the surf/skate/sun lifestyle every SoCal TV show made you jealous of, and that’s literally our co-founder Matt’s life. He remembers getting dropped off at Scripps Pier almost daily after school to surf and getting picked up when it was dark. It’s the ‘90s dream of youthful freedom we’re trying to keep alive here at BinkyBro.

Growing up in the heart of San Diego meant a lot of things for Matt, including the fact that he would forever and always be a Padres fan. Small market? We like it that way. Losing record? Fans show up anyway. For a local, cheering for the Padres has always been about community – specifically, a community that knows how to get outside and have a good time. 

Most baseball stadiums say something about their city, but none more than Petco Stadium, the home of the gold and brown. This spot is the ultimate mix of culture and sport, with ocean views and salty sea breezes you can feel from every seat in the house. It’s a destination for tourists and locals alike, built right into San Diego’s thriving downtown food and bar scene. 

Think summer’s going fast? It’s about to go even faster. Meet our latest drop – a BinkyBro racing line inspired by some of the fastest guys we know. 

If we had to guess what every bro who’s ever been born has in common, we’d say it’s a need for speed. Before they can talk, or sometimes even walk, little guys are cruising through the house to the soundtrack of their own sound effects, feeling like the fastest man on earth, no matter if their actual speed is 3mph. 

Whether it’s chasing mom or racing a sibling, this line is the freshest new uniform for your little racer, with tees, hats, shades, and our personal favorite – an exclusive BinkyBro x Strider bike to get them where they’re going, fast.

Each of the four tees in the collection has an asphalt black base with different race-inspired elements. Their graphics pull from elements of moto, F1, and even barbershop culture – all things manly, only in the right size for little guys. We’ve got classic checkers, bold pops of color, and a few nods to BinkyBro hitting ten years, since we were established in 2015. Each tee is made in our supersoft cotton and come in sizes 6 months to 12 (boys Large). 

It’s a complicated time in America, with politics feeling divisive and online conversations so polarized. But one thing we’re always grateful for as parents is how simply our kids see the world.

Our kids want stability, love, freedom, and happiness – really what all of us wants at the end of the day. No matter how complicated, we feel grateful to live in a country where we have the freedom to raise kids with the values we care about, and we wanted to celebrate that freedom in our favorite way – through fresh fits that show who we are and reflect our lifestyle.

Meet Josh: BinkyBro partner, father to four-year-old Griff and new twin girls, and the current best MotoAmerica racer on tour. 

If you’re not familiar with MotoAmerica, here’s a crash course: a couple dozen riders on souped up motorcycles rip around the track at up to 180 mph. It’s a thrilling, high-speed adrenaline rush for riders and their fans, and (no offense to Josh) something most parents probably hope their kid never wants to try.

But like anyone at the top of their game, this sport isn’t just about high speeds and adrenaline. It’s about mad skills that had time to grow because a passion was discovered at a young age.

Josh grew up in California and Georgia, and basically was born on a bike. At four years old he was already riding dirt bikes, and by five he was running drills in local parking lots.

After seeing the huge response to our BinkyBro x Quiksilver Winter collab, we were stoked to join forces again for a warmer weather drop.
