It’s a complicated time in America, with politics feeling divisive and online conversations so polarized. But one thing we’re always grateful for as parents is how simply our kids see the world.

This collection features four new swimmies in a variety of red, white, and blue colorways. Star Spangled and Old Glory borrow elements from the American flag, but in fresh designs that make them distinctly BinkyBro. Rushmore takes a subtler approach to the theme, with a light blue and white star-spangled pattern. Last but not least, with no stars and waves instead of stripes, Daytona might be the most year-round of these swim styles (though we think patriotism can be worn on your sleeve 365 days a year).
Each of the swimmies in the Americana Collection comes with spandex lining instead of the traditional mesh, features a stylish back pocket, and of course a BinkyBro logo accent on the left thigh.
Our swim trunks are perfect for all your typical summer swim activities, plus any 4th of July traditions that involve water. Think water balloon toss in the backyard, or a local splash pad with family friends. Pro-tip: we keep our kids in swimsuits most of the summer already because summer means popsicle season. To us, it feels like an at-home holiday, and we like to keep things simple. A neighborhood bike ride (decked out with streamers of course) is one of our favorite ways to ring in the holiday without fighting parade crowds. We also love a themed dessert but are usually overwhelmed by most of Pinterest searches, which is why a festive fruit skewer has become our go-to potluck offering. Grab some strawberries, a juicy watermelon, some blueberries or blackberries, and kebab skewers, then have your kids help arrange the fruit in alternating red and blue patterns, and voila – you’re good to go with a refreshing treat that hits for all your little sweet tooths, and even brings a little nutrition too.
