The Barney Patrol Matted is our 100% woven natural straw sun hat.
Dried straw is DELICATE and can be broken if bent or smashed. Straw hats are designed to protect you from the sun, but not from the water. Water on straw hats will cause the straw to bow, expand, and eventually break. Avoid putting it in the pool or ocean.
The hat includes a chin strap tie that can be used to accommodate head size. The Barney Patrol comes in an infant/baby, toddler, or youth size.
Our Barney Patrols are true-to-size based on the child's age. What this means is the average sized kid--about 50% on the growth charts--is used as the barometer for head circumference. Unlike our traditional snapbacks the size isn't adjustable.
Terrible quality! Do not waste your money. My son wore this hat in Mexico and after 1-2 days it was totally falling apart. I sent pictures to the company and if it’s past 15 days from the date of purchase they do not help you.
Super cute hat, but it is so fragile. To be something marketed and sold for toddlers and kids, I would hope that it would be sturdy enough to withstand a toddler taking it off and putting it back on. Unfortunately, it had holes in it within hours of purchase.
Literally started breaking at the top of the hat within minutes of using it.

It looks absolutely so cute. The colors are great! Unfortunately, this hat is so delicate. My toddler ruined that hat within 5 seconds from taking it out of the box. Didn’t even get to wear it. Would not recommend buying this. The price versus the durability isn’t worth it.
